"I'm back and I'm awesome!" Legionnaire Imperatrix announced when she teleported back to the meeting room of her palace where her elite officers were waiting for her.
"Gather around, and I shall explain how we got here!" She added. She sat back at her seat. Monica, Lily, Christina and Roberta knew this retelling was more for the two newcomers, but they were amused by Imperatrix's narration style and impressed by her feats that they'd still listen intently.
"Your Fabulousness, can we get some tea and cake first?" Chelsea asked.
"Of course, before we start would be better than in the middle of the narration!"
Roberta knew that was her cue. She briefly left the room and headed towards the kitchen. A couple minutes later, she returned to the meeting room with a large tray with a cake, a teapot, plates, forks, teacups and teacup saucers.
First she placed the tray in the middle of the table, then she moved the plate with the cake in front of the tray. Next one of her hands morphed into a small chainsaw.
"Is that safe?" Claudia asked, looking startled.
"For slicing cake? Affirmative. This procedure has been tested for safety and has been utilized several times before your arrival." Roberta said.
"I ran those tests!" Christina cheerfully added.
"I'll-- I'll take your word for it." Claudia nervously chuckled.
Roberta sliced into the cake with her chainsaw hand to create enough slices for everyone. Christina left the room and returned with a washcloth to wash the cake residue off of Roberta's chainsaw.
"Thank you." Roberta said. She turned her other hand into a spatula and lifted up each slice to put on a plate. Next she placed the forks on the plates, placed the saucers next to the plates and the teacups on the saucers. She poured the teapot into each of the teacups.
The other league members thanked her and started to enjoy the cake while they waited for the tea to cool down.
Over tea and cake, Imperatrix began her story.
"I, Legionnaire Imperatrix, arrived the day before Aurora did, and was surprised that the king and queen already knew of time travelers and her role." She began to narrate.
"The day I arrived was August 24, 1884. Aside from Susana still becoming a mage, I'd overwrite everything Aurora did!" Imperatrix laughed.
She told of how she arrived in the palace early in the morning, but this was before she was Legionnaire Imperatrix. In her place was Renegade Eminence Danger.
Eminence wore a white one-piece dress with gold and light red trim along the bottom, frills at the top and bottom of the dress. She wore a dark purple corset over it. Her dress had an oval brooch with the Magical Renegades insignia and the brooch was pinned to a purple bow.
Over her dress she wore a dark purple jacket with gold buttons. It was a lighter shade of purple in the middle panel where the buttons were, on the collar and it had epaulettes in the same lighter shade. Similarly to the other Magical Renegades' uniforms, her jacket had dark purple armbands with brass buckles, but her jacket also bore some resemblance to the combat uniforms of the time travelers.
She wore white tights with purple boots with white straps on them, and wore a purple hat with goggles and a white feather in it. She also wore a dark purple hair ribbon on her right side.
After she explained her reason for visiting to the guards at the front of the palace, they escorted her to the throne room where the King Gareth and Queen Etheldreda were seated.
"Your Majesty." Eminence graciously said to the king and queen. She knelt in front of them, and had her weapon holstered. "You may have heard this before, but I can stop the evil mages that want to overthrow you." She told them.
"Those guards didn't make it easy to talk to the king and queen, but I could convince them!" Imperatrix narrated. "When I spoke to them, they were afraid what I was saying was too good to be true, but I confidently stood up, brandished my weapon not in a threatening manner but in one that conveyed I was ready for action!"
"If you abdicate your power and give me the funds for my plans, I can, and will stop them at all costs!" Eminence confidently said to the king and queen. In one hand she was holding her weapon which resembled a rapier, Shining Loyal Blade Sirius.
King Gareth looked worried. "Are such outrageous measures truly necessary?" He lamented. Etheldreda didn't look confident either but she told him "Our guards and us were overpowered by their evil magic, and we are no more prepared now!"
Gareth sighed. "Perhaps we don't have a choice..." He looked towards Eminence again. Do what you need to do to stop them." He said.
"Excellent, Your Majesty! I'll be prepared for them at sunrise!" Eminence cheerfully and confidently said. She put Sirius back in her holster and smiled. With this business concluded, she left the throne room with the guards.
"The next morning, I was ready! The sun was beginning to rise. The sky was still mostly dark but a bit of daylight illuminated the clouds with pink hues. I stood by the side of the front of the palace, waiting in the shadows with my weapon ready." Imperatrix narrated.
"But when I got there, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her instead..." She continued her narration...
A familiar looking person with long burgundy hair was already in the front of the palace, just a couple meters from the front door. She was wearing a blue overcoat with a white skirt, gray trousers with white gloves and white boots.
"It was her- Renegade Liberty! She was going to show up and stop them anyways! I didn't tell her about about this. I had to think quickly; If she stopped them by herself, she'd steal my thunder and I wouldn't live up to my word." Imperatrix narrated.
"I was expecting you!" Liberty shouted to the people in front of her; The Minions of Nemesis army, led by Deathmaster. He and his soldiers wore militaristic uniforms that were black with dark gray sleeves, red panels along the middle of the uniform with gold buttons and gold epaulettes.
They all looked serious and angry except one; a high-ranking soldier that had short light red hair with red eyes, she had a menacing grin.
They had different ranking insignia but Deathmaster had a gold and gem encrusted scabbard on his belt and he wore a crown that had several red and white jewels and gold panels that glistened in the sunlight. These commanded the eye's attention and highlighted his rank.
"Same here, foolish peasant!" Deathmaster scoffed, but his dismissive tone would turn to rage. "Having to surrender to your weird weaponry before was so humiliating! It was our downfall, but it won't be this time!" He threatened.
Liberty scoffed back and continued to glare at them. "Ha! Prepare to surrender again... If I don't kick your a**es first!" She took her weapon, Quasar Sniper Pistol Star, out of her holster. It was in her right hand and ready to load when she pulled out a superconductor crystal from a pocket with her left hand. She loaded the superconductor into the Pistol Star.
