Katt stepped down from the large branch she was seated on and jumped onto another large one below. "I think that was a time traveler!" She exclaimed.
"Really? I'm scared." Alicia said.
"Really?" Melody asked Katt.
"Yeah! I saw a portal! I'm going to go over there!"
"Alright! We'll get our things for the trip. Call us if there's any trouble!" Alicia cautiously said.
"Thanks! I'll tell you what I find! Alicia, if it's someone from the Academy, I won't tell them anything. They're not going to force you to go back there!" Katt said assuringly. She glanced back at Alicia and Melody before she looked ahead again, and jumped out of the tree. "Don't try this at home!" She cheerfully cautioned.
She rocketed out of the tree, flying several feet upwards and several more feet away before she landed.
Melody quickly undid the materialization spell. The tree she created glowed green and started to de-materialize. It broke down into glowing green leaves which then dissipated in the air while she cast another spell to help her and Alicia carefully land on their feet.
"Ugh... Now I forgot where I was going and I feel so dizzy!" Aurora thought to herself while she stumbled through the trees when she crossed paths with Katt.
"Hey! I've got an odd question, but are you a time traveler?" Aurora didn't immediately answer because this question caught her by surprise. "I spotted a time travel portal and would be so excited!" Katt continued.
"Yes-- so... Where am I?" Aurora asked.
"Let me tell you all about it!" Katt said as she twirled around to point to the school building. "You're at the Capital Remedial Action Prep School!"
"That building looks familiar." It was a large red-roofed, baroque-inspired building with white marble columns along the front door and the windows directly above it with smaller columns between the other rectangular windows on the second and third floors. The third and fourth floors had round windows; on the third floor gold trim surrounded them.
"Yeah! It's one of the former royal family's palaces, but repurposed!" Katt explained. "Some of their descendants don't like how their ancestors' palace was repurposed, but too bad for them! One of them is actually a student here!" She laughed.
"Really? Isn't there an elite prep school on the other side that descendant could go to? Why would that descendant complain?"
Katt chuckled again before she answered. "She had the connections and money to go there, but was rejected for her poor grades when she didn't even try to study."
"She didn't?"
"Nah. Her parents demanded to speak to the school board about it, and demanded this'd be in the prime-time news. It was, but the school board didn't budge on their decision!" Katt laughed.
"I heard that!!" A loud, high-pitched angry voice yelled out. The last person Katt wanted within earshot was there!...
