Magical Renegades is the name for this series which has a main story and multiple spin-offs!
Anathema to Commonsense was the main installment. It started as a comic but was discontinued in August 2019 from pacing issues that brought about boredom, but relaunched from the ashes as a vertically scrolling webtoon in April 2020. This reboot was a pragmatic decision since continuing the story as a webtoon was easier and there was more room to expand without being restricted by any page sizes or chapter lengths!
This was pragmatic but also more fun as there was also more to write about.
Unforseen circumstances led to its discontinuation as a webtoon; the format became unsustainable for me to continue. Months later in the summer of 2025, I started to find a way to continue ATC as an illustrated webnovel with an overhauled setting and new perspective. This culminated in Polished Diamonds Culmination, announced in January 2026.

A magical girl webtoon with time travel, retro aesthetics, and a rivalry that puts the space-time continuum at stake! Anathema to Commonsense was the flagship work of the Magical Renegades series, from which came multiple spin-off stories. It got officially discontinued in its webtoon format in 2025, but will be adapted, polished and continued as a part of Polished Diamonds Culmination
The events and details in ATC are still canon unless stated otherwise, or contradicted in PDC.
Polished Diamonds Culmination is a new series of multiple stories. It'll start with prequel stories that elaborate on some character interactions, worldbuilding, and these characters' early trials and tribulations before it leads into stories that adapt Anathema to Commonsense. ATC will continue as a story (or multiple) within PDC, but with further refinements.
A major change planned for PDC is that the plot will involve travel to more locations in a bizarre conworld.
A slice of life webnovel spin-off of extra stories in between episodes and timelines! This spin-off stars a more lawful time traveler as a protagonist who uses her power for research. In her research, she crosses paths with others, recounts their stories and writes about the events that are less told or weren't shown.
The chapters aren't all in chronological order. The episode list on the Anathema to Commonsense index page also lists each of the Extra! Chronicles chapters and where they fit.
This started from several drawings were made for art challenges. Many of the drawings have stories to go with them that fit into the canon. They're scattered across timelines and events, but provide more details about events that happened, about the lore and characters' backstories!
The Scattered Archives is the section for these drawings and stories in one place to organize them!
This is a short-lived spin-off that stemmed from an art challenge I did in 2023.
It took place in an MMO game I made up on the spot. I had a lot of ideas for it that were overly complicated for a challenge to draw something every day. That didn't stop me at first (see many of the Scattered Archives stories and drawings), but my ability to continue writing and drawing for it crashed before I could get to the end I planned.
I'm frustrated that it ended abruptly, but hope to continue it in some form. If I don't, the best I might do is adapt it into a story within Polished Diamonds Culmination.
Travel Logs is a spin-off made for 90's Resort! It's a slice of life spin-off about days in the life of the resort's groundskeeper as she develops the resort and the misadventures that she or visitors get up to!
This is more of a standalone spin-off compared to Extra! Chronicles.
This site is also an installment of Magical Renegades in a version of the 90's in another dimension!
